Finding childcare can feel overwhelming — that’s why QueenCare is excited to host a Babysitter Meet & Greet, creating a welcoming space for local families to connect.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Register
Parents, caregivers, and babysitters are encouraged to register in advance so we can plan appropriately and help facilitate meaningful connections.
2. Babysitters Create Their Showcase
Babysitters will arrive at 10:00 AM to set up their own small display table. QueenCare will provide the table — the rest is up to them!
3. Meet & Greet
Families will be invited to walk through the room, visit with babysitters, ask questions, and learn more about the childcare options available in our community.
4. Make Connections
If a babysitter and family feel like a good fit, they are welcome to exchange contact information and continue the conversation after the event.
5. Do Your Due Diligence
QueenCare encourages all families to conduct their own interviews, reference checks, and any desired background checks before entering into a childcare arrangement.
6. Find the Right Fit
Whether you're looking for a regular babysitter, occasional help, a mother's helper, or an extra set of hands during the busy summer months, this event is all about helping families build connections and strengthen their village.

Is there a cost to attend?
No. This event is free to attend for both families and babysitters.
Do I need to register?
YES! Registration is encouraged so we can plan appropriately, but walk-ins may be accommodated if space permits.
What ages can babysitters be?
We welcome responsible youth, students, and adults who are interested in providing childcare services. Families are encouraged to determine their own comfort level regarding a babysitter's age and experience.
Will QueenCare be screening babysitters?
No. QueenCare is simply providing a community space for introductions and networking. Families are responsible for conducting their own interviews, reference checks, and any desired background or Vulnerable Sector Checks.
Does attending guarantee I will find a babysitter?
Not necessarily. The goal of this event is to create opportunities for connection. While many families may meet potential caregivers, QueenCare cannot guarantee childcare arrangements.
Can I bring my children?
Absolutely! This is a family-friendly event, and children are welcome to attend with their parents or caregivers.
What should babysitters bring?
We recommend bringing:
A friendly smile
A parent, if under the age of 16
Contact information
Any relevant certifications (CPR, First Aid, Babysitting Course, etc.)
References (if available)

Is QueenCare responsible for childcare arrangements made after the event?
No. Any childcare arrangements made after the event are private agreements between families and childcare providers. QueenCare does not employ, supervise, endorse, or guarantee any babysitter attending the event.
